UNV and The Heroes Foundation: Career Day at Work

The Career Day at work initiative took place on August 30th and commemorated International Youth Day which is celebrated on 12th August. The creation of the Career Day at Work was the result of joint efforts by The Heroes Foundation and the United Nations Volunteers programme.

 

Eighteen students from The Heroes Foundation Youth Development Programme were assigned to spend the day at one of seven businesses which agreed to participate in the initiative. Dr. Poppen expressed hope that this year's Day at Work mentees would continue their efforts for future generations.
