International Anti-Corruption Day 9 December 201115 December 2011
December 9th marked International Anti-Corruption Day which is designated to raise awareness of corruption and the role of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in combating and preventing it.
In Trinidad and Tobago, UNDP and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute (TTTI) observed this day with activities on the Brian Lara Promenade in an effort to ACT against corruption.
Activities leading up to 9 December included a T-Shirt Competition and Call for Dancers for the flash mob. First place winner of the T-Shirt competition was Robert Romany and People's Choice winner was Bryan Mohan.
