Human Development Atlas presented at post-Cabinet luncheon

On 9 February at the Dimplomatic Centre, Port of Spain the draft Atlas of Human Development for Trinidad and Tobago was presented at a post-Cabinet luncheon meeting. Among members of the Cabinet of Trinidad and Tobago, present were the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Senator the Honourable Dr. Bhoendradatt Tewarie, Minister of Planning and the Economy, Ms. Helen Clark, UNDP Administrator, Dr. Marcia de Castro, UNDP Resident Representative, and Gianluca Giuman, UN MDG Analyst.

 

A brief overview was given on the work of the United Nations and the United Nations Development Programme in the country and presentations were made by Mr. Dave Clement, Director of the Central Statistical Office and Dr. de Castro. Remarks were made by Ms. Clark and closing remarks were made by the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
