   Ms. Helen Clark, UNDP Administrator and Mr. Heraldo Munoz, Deputy Director of RBLAC visit TT Parliament

UNDP Administrator Helen Clark and Deputy Director of the Regional Bureau of Latin America and the Caribbean (RBLAC) Heraldo Munoz met with the Honourable Wade Mark, Speaker of the House and Senator the Honourable Timothy Hamel-Smith, President of the Senate on 8 February 2012. This took place at the Office of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain and key topics on the institutional strengthening of the Parliament and role of Parliament in the Constitutional reform process were discussed. Capacity development and support by UNDP over the course of the Parliamentary Strengthening initiative were also discussed and tokens of appreciation were awarded to Ms. Clark and Mr. Munoz during the courtesy call. Among attendees were UNDP Resident Representative Dr. Marcia de Castro, Deputy Resident Representative Mr. Edo Stork and UNV Programme Officer, Dr. Jens-Ulrich Poppen.
