Country Programme Action Plan
The Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) is an action oriented planning document that defines
when UNDP initiatives will be implemented and
what partnerships will be formed. It will define UNDP's role in development cooperation and programme
management over the 4 years from 2012 to 2015 under the framework of
UNDP's focal areas: Democratic Governance, Poverty Reduction,
Environment and Energy, and Human Security (Figure 1).

projects which, after the CPAP development process, will result in a
full pipeline of projects for the period 2012 to 2015. |
The CPAP together with annual work plans will replace project documents and make programming of UNDP initiatives easier and more efficient.
The CPAP is the product of an inclusive and participative consultation process with country level stakeholders: Government of Trinidad and Tobago, UN System, Civil Society Organizations (CBOs)/ Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), private sector, donors, and other partners.
In the CPAP formulation process, human rights and a gender sensitive
approach is included.
